In the 1990s, Damien Birambeau, a permanent wheelchair user since the age of 12, went to Berkeley in California. There, he discovered a world where everything was accessible.

"For the very first time, I could make choices based not just on where was accessible, but on where I wanted to go. I could go to a restaurant or the cinema. To me, this was revolutionary".

Back in France, reality bit again. Fortunately, everything changed with the arrival of Web 2.0 and the adoption of the disability law of February 11th, 2005 in France. It was in the context that Damien Birambeau started Jaccede in 2006.
